Talking Crafty

Making Crafting FUN Again!

We have 81 members in the group! I cannot believe how big this group has grown over the past couple of months! We need to get some action going in here. I'll start one....
Couple of questions for you:

1. Would you be interested in "how to" videos on the website?

2.If yes, what types of videos would you look for?

3. Would you be interested in attending a craft retreat?

4. If so, what would you like to see at the retreat?

Also, I am looking at doing a couple of surveys for the website, would you take one if asked?

Ok, I think I'm done!

On the how to videos.... do you want to see hot fix crystals and stencils.....how to make a primitive doll, painting the face, sculptured faces, tea dying, fingers and toes....tole painting, Christmas ornaments, bird houses.....making purses, applique sweat shirt...

What are some areas you are having a hard time making? Do you have any questions on how to do something you don't need a video for, just a question that can be answered by someone on the crafty page. We do now have a few ladies that I do carry their patterns in the shop, if I can't answer it I'm sure they can!

I would love to see some how to videos and some retreats or classes. I have a time share in Pidgon Forge and would plan my vacation around that time.

Thank you! We are working on the videos as soon as we can get together when the shop is closed so hopefully it won't be too long. Also, I'll keep you posted when we do the classes. We were wanting to do a retreat this fall but I'm not sure if it is going to work out or not so hopefully very soon we can get the details all worked out!

Because of health issues I don't go far from home, but a retreat years ago I would have jumped for the chance. Retreats are much so needed for everyone. As for the video, some ideas for me would be, building primitive wood items, paper mache critters, and dolls. Tips on stuffing a rag doll, from beginning to end making a pumpkin type head for a doll and it actually come out in the end looking like one. Working with different types of materials that look primitive like paper mache. Needle felting and rug hooking are to name a few neat things to learn about. The list goes on and on and on.
Hope to see some of these in the near future.
